NAME
convfrm - convert old format run files to new format
SYNOPSIS
convfrm
runfile ...
DESCRIPTION
Convfrm
allows you to salvage runs of data captured
before the current version of
dsepr(1)
became available.
For each
runfile
name specified,
convfrm
checks to make sure it is a valid run of the old format,
then converts the file to the new format.
The file name suffix
.frm
is appended to each
runfile
name specified, if not already present.
The conversion involves expanding the run header,
shuffling fields around in this header, and faking up
information not available in the old format.
Calibration information is available only for the
first untriggered waveform and the first two triggered traces.
No channel name strings are set, as these exist only in the
new format.
DIAGNOSTICS
If any error occurs,
convfrm
prints a message, and goes on to the next file.
The exit status is 0 if no errors were detected,
1 if some error(s) occurred.
FILES
*.frm runfiles specified
*.frX temporary runfiles of new format created
